How Does Reiki work?
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that works by channeling universal life force energy through the hands of a trained practitioner. This energy helps to remove energetic blocks, restore balance and support your body’s natural ability to heal itself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
Reiki is not tied to a religion or belief system. You don’t need to “do” anything to receive it except be open to the experience. The energy knows exactly where to go and what to do.
Reiki meets you where you are and brings to yoru system what is most needed. Some of the most common benefits of Reiki (near or far):

In both types of reiki sessions you can expect to feel warmth, tingling, emotional release, or a deep stillness as the energy flows. The sessions are always guided by your energetic needs and support with intuitive insight. My goal is always for your to leave feeling lighter, clearer and restored – mind, body and spirit.
Distant Reiki Sessions
Energy transcends time and space. In a distant reiki session I connect with your energetic field from wherever you are. This is done through focused intention, sacred symbols and intuitive guidance – just as if we are in the same room. You will receive the healing benefits as if you were in-person, but from the comfort of your own space, wrapped in your coziest blanket, or seated comfortably with a cup of tea. *I find that my clients benefit the most from these sessions as they are more relaxed in their own spaces and less concerned about what is happening on the treatment table.
In Person Reiki Sessions
When you arrive, we will begin with a brief chat to check in and set any intentions you may have for the session. You will be invited to get comfortable on the treatment table in my calming home treatment space. Soft blankets and pillows are available to help you fully relax, and you will remain fully clothed for the session.
Once settled I will begin by cutting energetic chords that may be draining or no longer serving you, and help to ground your energy to help you feel safe and supported.
From there I will move through each of the main chakras offering reiki healing through your choice of light hands-on touch or hovering just above the body.
My path with Reiki began during my last pregnancy where I sought out treatment to help me relax and feel comfortable in my changing body. I was left with such a profound experience it encouraged me to start to work with the energy. Since 2016 Reiki has been the foundation of both my healing and my work . I hold a dual certification in the Usui Reiki Lineage, at the Master Teacher level, and am currently studying Kundalini Reiki. I have woven in a certification in crystal energy and am an angel guide certified under Kyle Gray. For me, Reiki isn’t just a healing modality, its way of meeting people where they are, without judgement, and helping them to return their center.
